Sunday Mornings:

Runnymede has a program for children and youth every Sunday at 10:30AM called Sunday's Cool!

For Grades Kindergarten to 6 we use a workshop format. This means that over the course of four Sundays, children rotate through different workshops to explore the biblical theme. In the kitchen, they learn through cooking, baking and science experiments. In the gym, they learn through active games. In the Joyful Noise workshop,(in the Kingsbury Room) they learn through music, video and drama activities. The fourth workshop is art, which takes place upstairs in Jewitt Hall. Within the workshops, the children are often invited to put Jesus' commandment to ¨love our neighbours¨ into practice, for example, by baking for Out of the Cold, making cards for bereaved families, or playing games that emphasize trust and cooperation.

The youth in grades 7 and up have their own programmes on Sunday mornings, and high-schoolers help run the workshops.

For more information contact Katrina Hall.

Sunday School Mission Statement

We are all on a journey in God's world. We are called:

  • to walk with our children in seeking and growing in relationship with God;
  • to share the traditions of our faith in Jesus Christ;
  • to include children as an integral part of our community faith;
  • to teach caring and respect for self, for others, and for the world.
