We are seeking an organized, motivated individual to support the growth of our community projects. This role requires comfort with researching and applying technical and AI tools to improve efficiencies and effectiveness—ideal for a university or post-secondary student with strong technology, writing, and organizational skills. Applicants must be aged 15-30.

Runnymede is expanding its food security work with meals for struggling seniors. We recently doubled the number of community meals for low-income families and singles. And we are seeking to pilot a seniors’ lunch-and-learn program with a partnering agency.

New initiatives require increased staff and volunteer resources, overall coordination, and alignment with appropriate legal and health and safety processes. The Community Programs Worker will work with the Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator to improve our technical and human resources systems, particularly as they relate to volunteer management.

2. Multi-generational Program Support

Runnymede has programs serving people of all ages. The Community Programs Worker will provide support for programs that may include:

  • a possible new program for youth struggling with anxiety.

  • evaluation and analysis of a pilot seniors’ program.

3. A Unique Research Project

This year’s research project will be determined before the position starts.

4. Team Participation and Technical Support

The Community Programs Worker will be an integral part of a professional staff team. They will participate in weekly team meetings, reporting on progress in their work and contributing ideas (including from their youth perspective).

Where appropriate, the Community Program Worker will help staff and volunteer leaders use technical and AI tools to improve efficiencies and impact. This will be of significant ongoing benefit to the church and a great learning opportunity for the successful candidate.
